We Will Take Care of Everything.
The role of the funeral director is to guide you and your family through your immediate grief and distress.
Your consultant will ease the burden during your sorrow. They will look after every aspect of the funeral service, helping you to choose flowers, venue, time, coffin and whether to employ clergy or celebrant at a service.
Newspaper advertisements and all of the legal requirements are professionally completed with a minimum of fuss. The choices are yours to make. And after the funeral is over, your consultant is still available to provide follow-up care, counselling and support if you require it.
Albert & Meyer Funeral Directors will help tailor a funeral service to suit the person whose life it commemorates. Family and friends are encouraged to participate in the planning so that it better reflects that person’s life from many perspectives.
Your consultant will also gather family information that is used to register the death, the information required can be found on our Personal Information Form.
Your consultant will help you make arrangements for the funeral service. They will take care of every last detail.
No request is considered “too difficult” or “too unusual”. Your consultant will attempt to do everything they can in order to meet your stated needs. Don’t forget that your consultant has the advantage of experience, and may offer you ideas that you may otherwise have not considered.
Albert & Meyer realises that needs vary: services may be religious or not, modern, traditional, or located somewhere unusual. Your consultant will help you decide.
We will also let you know who you need to notify, and help you make sure those notifications are complete.
We have a list to start with here.
From the time you meet with a consultant, either at our offices or in your own home, your Albert & Meyer consultant will remain as a personal contact, and will attend the funeral service to guide and support you on the day.
